Poetry has always touched my life. It allows me a freedom I don't usually possess. I use words to express my every emotion, and though I cannot say these words out loud, when I am alone and can crawl inside my own mind, through poetry I can release that which threatens to destroy me.
Wild West 1860...
Imagine yourself as an infamous gunslinger back in the days of the Pony Express. With head held high, you are unwavering as you stare down the outlaw who has called you out. Hands at your sides you wait anticipating the draw. He goes for his gun. Without effort the ivory handled six-shooter is smoking in your hand and he lay dead in the dust. Now imagine this... you are a woman.
In 1901, after the Spanish American War had ended, a small town along the shores of Spain is shortly awaken. Myra discovers a wooden key that is carelessly tossed about,yet it mysteriously keeps reappearing amongst them. Daniel is chasing after Mary, whom he thinks is his lovely Myra, only to find himself a prisoner of the evil Captain William. Louis returns from a business trip and searches for answers to the bizarre circumstances that have evolved while he was away. These inhabitants live side by side with us, but haven't been seen by human eye in a very long time. When Lucas finds Princess Pheobonia, leader of the Naturions, she is injured and it is a race against time to not only save her but the entire world from the Dark Forces of Snowbol Axelrion.
Poor test scores, high drop out rates, and children failing classes has now become commonplace in America. American students seem to be falling behind in their academic pursuits. This is all happening despite the high accountability for our schools and teachers. Why is this happening here in America?
